The town is situated on Prokletije and on the shores of the Plav Lake. Today, Plav is the town of mixed architecture, and the modern architecture is prevailing over the old houses in Oriental style. In the last twenty years Plav started to develop tourism, since the existing natural beauties of the entire surrounding made this possible. The shore of the Plav Lake is made fit for bathing and for docking the vessels, and in 2000 the city got the Tourist and Information Centre. The Lake of Plav, fishing, hunting the game of various kinds, climbing the mountain, sources of Ali Pasha and Grlje canyon are sufficient reasons to visit this attractive area.
