Mojkovac is town on the right bank of Tara, on the crossroads of important roads. At the entrance to the town, there are two bridges and a monument to fighters and heroes fallen in the famous Battle of Mojkovac of 1916. Mojkovac is mentioned for the first time under the name Brskovo. It got the name after its first inhabitants, miners of Sas, who had come from Brezgane. The lead and zinc ore was processed in Mojkovac. It was the oldest mining centre in Montenegro. There was a coin mint in the town. Mojkovac is the starting point for organising rafting down the river Tara and for mountain tours on Bjelasica and Sinjajevina. Many families from the area of the Municipalities have their logs and huts on the summer pastures of these mountains.
